Want To Start A Family…Do These 5 Things NOW

After almost 15 years, I have an amazing marriage, but it wasn’t always that way. 

There are so many things I could have done to make my marriage great from the start. 

I want you to learn from my mistakes. 

Here are FIVE things every single guy should do BEFORE Marriage..

1. FIND YOUR MISSION: 

Every man must have his own mission. Too many men make their woman their mission. This is a great error. 

Your woman should be your partner, your helper, ON the mission. But your whole life shouldn’t revolve around her.

You need a purpose, a drive, a mission that is all your own. 

Women love driven men. 

They want to join a man on his journey. Find your path in life and pursue it passionately. 

A good woman will gladly follow you to the end of the earth if you’re driven.

2. FIND FITNESS: 

No woman really wants a guy with a dad bod. 

Everyone thinks sex dries up after marriage. But that’s only because most men let themselves go. They pack on the pounds, give up on hygiene, and think “real men don’t care how they look” 

In reality, women want a man who not only looks good, but is strong. 

Fitness isn’t vanity. 

If you want to START a family, you must be fit so you can PROTECT your family. 

How can you defend your future wife and children from danger if you can’t even do 10 pushups? 

Get fit.

3. FIND FRATERNITY: 

You need a brotherhood. 

Modern men try to go alone. 

Find your tribe that will push you to be better, stronger, and hold you accountable. 

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” 

Men must be in contact with other men to sharpen each other 

You won’t find excellence on your own. 

Find fraternity with other men to learn how you can be a better man, husband, father, and leader.

4. FIND FAITH: 

Too many men today are not leading their families spiritually. 

If you desire to have a God fearing, strong, and loving family, spiritual leadership must come from YOU. 

Faith in God will give you strength, hope, purpose, and peace.

Faith in Jesus Christ is more than just following rules. It’s a personal relationship with your Lord &Savior who died for your sins 

Any man looking to start a family, must put God front and center. Michael Foster’s book, It’s Good To Be A Man, is a great lesson on male headship.

5. FIND FREEDOM: 

According to @CovenantEyes, 63% of men under 30 are addicted to porn. 

When I started coaching, I assumed most of my clients would be married men. 

In actuality, almost HALF of my clients are single men who need to quit porn before starting a family.

I regularly hear from men in their 20’s and 30’s who have been addicted for 10-15 years or more. 

They’ve struggled to find or keep a girlfriend. They’ve lost potential wives because of porn. They desperately want freedom so they cant start a family from a place of strength.

If you don’t fix your porn problem before starting a family, you’ll derail everything from the start.
